Celebrates 67th Day of School
Posted on 11/18/2025
Stony Mill celebrated the 67th Day of School on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The faculty and staff kept it a secret from the students. When students arrived, many were excited to see teachers wearing “six seven” shirts and balloon bouquets throughout the school. Some students were a little annoyed that the grown-ups joined the “six seven” fad, but overall the day was a big hit at SME.

Throughout the school, the numbers 6 and 7 were woven into classroom lessons. The date was significant because 6 plus 7 equals 13. Math classes focused on 6 and 7 facts, created hexagons and heptagons, measured objects between 6 and 7 inches, counted money to 67 cents, and enjoyed other fun activities. English classes completed writing prompts about 67 things they liked, disguised the numbers 6 and 7 as different characters and wrote about them, and even wrote 67 compliments to friends and staff in recognition of World Kindness Day.

All in all, it was a fun and memorable “six seven” celebration at Stony Mill.
